The laser lens is a critical optical component responsible for focusing the laser beam reflected by the mirrors onto the work surface. A dirty or damaged lens reduces effective power and causes poor engraving or cutting results.

Why Lens Condition Matters

Dirty lenses reduce laser transmission efficiency, resulting in shallow engraving, incomplete cuts, or failed jobs. Heat build-up can permanently damage the lens coating.

When to Replace

Replace the lens when performance remains poor after thorough cleaning, visible damage, pitting, or clouding appears on the lens surface, or when you experience inconsistent cutting depth or loss of detail.
